Dr. Richard Harvey
Dr. Rick Harvey stumbled upon the dental field after taking a skills assessment in college. In his words, “the more I observed dentists in my hometown, the more I fell in love with the profession. I was amazed by the dentists’ ability to help make a difficult situation more pleasant for the patient.”
Dr. Harvey earned a dual degree from Utah State University in 1999, majoring in spanish and liberal arts & sciences. He was then awarded the US Navy’s Health Professions Scholarship and earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Ohio State University College of Dentistry. He’s still a Buckeye through and through. Dr. Harvey began his career in 2003 and spent over 4 years serving the men and women of the US military who were stationed in California and aboard the USS New Orleans.
He moved from California to Colorado and started working at Summit Family Dentistry. The office’s philosophy of going above and beyond for each patient aligned perfectly with Dr. Harvey’s standards and he eventually purchased the practice. His desire to give back led him to become a host office for Dentistry from the Heart – a free community dentistry day. Summit Family Dentistry has hosted this event for the last seven years and donates over $70,000 in free dental treatment annually.
Dr. Harvey and his wife Crista stay busy with their four children and are active in their church. When he has free time he enjoys listening to music, going to the theater, and playing or watching basketball. Dr. Harvey has been nationally recognized for his accomplishments in dentistry and as a small business owner.
Dr. Jill Biles
Dr. Jill Biles has dentistry in her blood. Her great-grandfather, great-uncle, uncle, and three cousins are all dentists! She attended the University of Minnesota dental school and earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2006. She also holds an advanced certification in Nutrition Science.
Dr. Biles says the best part of being a dentist is helping people in a way that improves their health and their self-confidence. She has a heart for giving back and volunteers doing dental screenings at elementary schools, health fairs, and through the Summit sponsored, Dentistry from the Heart event. She was drawn to Summit Family Dentistry by the team’s genuine focus on caring for the patients. A native Iowan, Dr. Biles was raised to always be kind to others, and her kindness shows in everything she does. Summit patients adore her, “put you at ease” demeanor and professionalism.
Dr. Biles and her husband, Brad, have two children and two dogs. She loves spending time hiking, riding bikes, and park hopping with the family. She also enjoys scrapbooking and watching movies at home.
Dr. Eugene Liu
Dr. Eugene Liu became interested in dentistry as a teenager after having his tooth knocked out on New Year’s Eve. He was amazed to find a doctor willing to help him on a holiday and he was impressed by his level of skills and compassion. Dr. Liu grew up in South Florida, but attended college on the East Coast and graduated from the University of Maryland Dental School.
He came to Summit Family Dentistry by way of being a volunteer doctor providing dental treatment at Dentistry from the Heart. He was deeply moved by the care and compassion shown to patients who were scared and down on their luck. In addition to being a gifted clinician, Dr. Liu is one of the most enthusiastic and positive people you will meet. His energy is infectious, and patients naturally gravitate to him. As well as being wonderful with adults, he has earned his reputation as being phenomenal with children, and kids of all ages love having him as their dentist.
Outside the office, Dr. Liu and his wife love being outdoors, hiking, biking and camping. He is also involved in the Colorado Mission of Mercy – providing free dental care to individuals and families around Colorado. He has achieved the 5280 Magazine Top Dentist status for several years running.
Dr. Sara Hauschild
Dr. Sara Hauschild became interested in dentistry while spending a year in Ecuador. She chipped a tooth while there and had to get a root canal and a dental crown. Dr. Hauschild was intrigued by the process and decided to pursue a career in dentistry. She graduated in the top five of her class at the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine and completed her residency at University of Colorado, Anschutz Medical Campus.
Dr. Hauschild grew up in the small town of Skaneateles, in upstate New York. She has a very giving heart and was a perfect match to join the Summit Family team. She has advanced education in implant placement and supports the next generation of dentists by supervising third and fourth year students at Colorado University of Dental Medicine.
When Dr. Hauschild is not in the office, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their dog. Her free time is mostly spent in the mountains either camping, skiing or cycling. She is fluent in Spanish and has a passion for traveling.
